Last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, before a raucous crowd, Vasiliy Lomachenko swiftly knocked out mandatory lightweight challenger Anthony Crolla in four rounds.
In the co-main slot, Gilberto Ramirez also finished his opponent in four, compelling Tommy Karpency to stay put on his stool due a rib injury sustained in the first.
Lomachenko is back
Lomachenko impressed once again with pristine footwork, creative movement, and ferocious attack. With a short right hook landing squarely on Crolla's temple, causing the Brit to face-plant onto the canvas, Lomachenko further entrenched himself atop the pound-for-pound list.
When asked who he wants next, Lomachenko coolly replied, "I want to fight with Mikey Garcia, but we'll see. I don't know," "I stay at 135 as long as it's possible, and I want to unify all {the} titles," Lomachenko said.
We shall see who is selected next as Lomachenko's dance partner. But one thing is for sure, Lomachenko is in full form and hungry to cement his legacy.

Ramirez impresses at light heavyweight
Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez stopped Tommy Karpency in the fourth after Karpency chose not to answer the bell. An injured rib acquired in the first round left Karpency unwilling to stand toe-to-toe with Ramirez any longer.
Ramirez, a former super middleweight, likes his new weight class and looks to make a title run at 175. "I feel more comfortable at 175 pounds than 168," Ramirez said. "I'm looking for all the champions at 175. I want to be a pound-for-pound fighter."
